Dear teaching staff,
We have compiled some helpful information for you to support you in implementing the legal requirements for equal-opportunity teaching in online teaching. We are aware that the shift to online teaching formats already presents considerable challenges. However, if you take accessibility into account from the very beginning, you can avoid additional work later on.
One particularly useful resource is the guide to creating accessible documents developed by the Service Center at the University of Kassel. The guide is very comprehensive, and you most likely will not need all of its content. Nevertheless, we kindly ask you to at least read the introduction. It provides a helpful overview of how different assistive tools work and why accessible materials are essential for many people.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.
